WELCOME TO WARWICK POLITICS SOCIETY
Welcome to the website for Warwick Politics Society! We are a society run for students, by students, that aims to encourage open and robust debate on Warwick’s campus. Warwick is a university that accommodates a host of diverse political opinions and houses students from a variety of backgrounds and world-views.
As a politically neutral society, we aim to encourage political debate on campus as much as possible. This means inviting speakers from all walks of life to cover a wide range of topics with one common thread – they all have a deep passion for politics. However, we don’t just host speakers; we want as much membership involvement as possible, with student-led panels on many hot-button issues, and student-written articles in our current affairs magazine, Perspectives.
Everyone is welcome – whether you’re studying for a BA in Politics or a PhD in Life Sciences, we want diverse groups of people with myriad interests to come to our events and engage with each other politically.
First and foremost, we are a society. We don’t just debate, discuss and discover; we host an annual tour abroad, as well as a variety of incredibly popular and successful socials! This has led to a thriving political community within both PolSoc and the greater Warwick campus.
If you want to find out more details about all our upcoming events, make sure to follow our social media pages, and become a member of the society for regular email updates. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events, and don’t forget to say hello to the exec around campus – we always love a chat!
