"Warwick Politics Society is a student-led society based at the University of Warwick, aimed at accommodating all students with an interest in politics. We aim to spark discussion and foster debate around politics, providing a platform for our members to voice their opinions and further their understanding. Whilst also being a central forum of engagement for everything to do with politics at Warwick. We pride ourselves on being politically neutral, meaning we welcome all political opinions and consider this diversity a brilliant opportunity to challenge our own ideas.
Our calendar ranges from academic events, hosting established political speakers and student panels, to social activities such as society run bar-crawls and SU nights out. We offer students the chance to write for Perspectives, our political student commentary magazine, host charity events to support our chosen PolSoc charity and organise an annual International Tour for students looking for a quick trip away! Our Politics Ball is one of the largest formal events on campus, this year inviting over 200 students to enjoy a night of evening dress and celebration. Plus, this year we are focused on improving our career-led events with networking event finale, providing our members with the best support available at Warwick to pursue their chosen careers. We have recently launched an internal Inclusivity Committee which works towards improving diversity & inclusion in the society, and seeks to actively better our, and our members', knowledge & awareness.
To stay up to date with all our upcoming events, make sure to follow our social media accounts and become a member of the society to receive regular email updates. We welcome students of all year groups, degrees and interests, meaning there is something for everyone to get involved in. Don’t hesitate to get in contact with us if you have any questions, we love hearing what you have to say so we can always be expanding and improving!"
