What We Offer

Ball 2.jpg

Politics Ball

Each year we host the Politics Ball, a formal event for over 200 students. This is an excellent opportunity to dress up for the night and celebrate your academic successes or new friendships over a three-course meal in a classy venue.

Sports

We have Football and Netball teams which play in the societies league each year. This is a great way to play a team sport in a casual setting, stay fit whilst at uni and meet new people! We will also be collaborating with sports societies to provide members the chance to try out new sports.

International Tour

We host an International Tour annually, which gives you an opportunity to bond with your PolSoc peers and explore somewhere other than Leamington! We try to keep our Tour affordable to allow as many students to attend as possible. Past tour locations have included Krakow, Athens, Lisbon and Amsterdam.

Socials

PolSoc hosts a range of drinking and sober socials. Our circles, bar crawls and club nights are very well attended and a great way to make friends on campus. If drinking isn't your thing, our sober socials range from film nights to meals to games nights!

Perspectives

Warwick Politics Society is also home to Perspectives, our political commentary

magazine. We produce print editions, a podcast and online content. If you consider yourself to be an aspiring political journalist, or have any

kind of interest in political writing, this is a great way to get involved in the Society.

Academic events

Warwick Politics Society hosts a range of exciting academic events, including speaker events with high-profile political figures, debates and panels. We aim to achieve a broad balance in the political views of our speakers throughout the year.

Charity

At Warwick PolSoc we work hard to support local and national charities through various fundraising initiatives. As well as supporting Movember, we choose a particular charity to raise funds for each year. This year we are supporting Coventry Cyrenians.

Mentoring Scheme

We offer a peer-mentoring scheme for first year students, connecting them with a second or third year student throughout the year who they can turn to with any questions or concerns. First years are matched with second or third year students who have taken similar modules so that they give them the most relevant academic advice.
